I didn’t expect this week to be solely focused on the Calendar app, but it wound up being more of an undertaking than I thought.

Really what ended up being a pain is long work hours finally came a calling. My job is integrating a new subsidiary here in town, so I found myself working all day Friday and into the weekend. We capped off with a fancy dinner, but I’d rather have the weekend back.

Balancing my time dedication is still very difficult, but it is worth it to get the degree in the end. Frankly balancing work time and these classes has been a challenge through the whole program. I’ve been able to manage, I only delayed one class this whole program, which is a positive in my eyes.

I certainly don’t think I’ll be continuing education for a while, though it is on the table since I have a tuition benefit through my job. I just can’t use it for this degree because I started it during a previous employment.

In any case, I won’t have any extended hours through October and November thankfully. So I’ll be able to focus my after-work time on this project. I look forward to seeing the end result of this project.
