It’s funny how the variety of IDE’s are just like the variety of coding languages out there. So let’s cut the bull, VS Code is just a bit RAW for my taste. I dont like how it seems to do what I WANT to do, I have to add “origin.” If I do “git pull” it doesn’t pull everything. I run “git pull origin” and suddenly there’s a bunch of files I’ve been missing. WHY? VS Community pulls just fine and has a nice git terminal. VS Code feels like I was thrown a couple sticks and told to make a fire. Like sure I can make a fire with a couple sticks, but it isn’t as efficient without moss and flint. My honest condolences really go out to Veronica on this. If she hadn’t stepped up to the management and coordinator plate, I have no clue what we would be doing at this point. I almost wonder if I could switch IDE to Jetbrains at this point, but Veronica and Lesly are using VS Code so I am maintaining quo to prevent conflict. Granted, I feel my lack of familiarity is causing a couple conflicts?

Now it hasn’t hindered my capability to code, I’ve been able to design the navigation bars just fine. the coding part is really the easy part, believe it or not. It’s the git part that makes me pull my hair just a little bit. Git seems to be a blessing and a curse. I guess because it’s made by programmers for programmers.

I’ll admit, this makes me feel like culprit of a github comment that went slightly viral amongst the programmer community a while ago.

I somewhat feel that frustration. I just want to call github a “smelly nerd” and “JUST PULL THE DARN FILES” but alas the computer hath no emotion.

In any case, corrections have been figured out to get back on track. Navigation is being implemented and next week will be fleshing that out.
